We are looking for a meticulous Plant Accountant to join our dynamic team at our Crawfordsville Plant Location. In this role, you will be crucial in providing financial insights and ensuring accurate financial reporting, which will directly contribute to the operational effectiveness of our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will not only excel in accounting but will also have a keen understanding of the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and cost reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Track and manage inventory and variances, including audits, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Assist with budget preparation and budgetary control for plant operations, including analysis of performance vs. budget.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with plant management to enhance financial performance and business oppurtunities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Assist in any customer-related issues such as collections, returns and claims
• Assist plant management in their value creation and cash generation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Plant Accountant or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing
• sector.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, especially pivot tables.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

This position will be based in Crawfordsville, but will be required to travel to Sullivan once a week or as necessary for trainings.
